KERRY O'GORMAN
As a young boy my parents and I lived aboard the 52’ Alden schooner Rigadoon on Long Island Sound. It was there that I fell in love with the sea and its images. I began drawing boats from the cockpit of this wonderful sailing yacht at an early age. Later in life I owned a number of sailboats which I cruised and raced up and down the east coast. About 15 years ago I began seriously painting marine art. From the start I focused on illumination in my paintings, using light to express the mood and time of day in my scenes.
